2nd Annual Halloween Horror On Church Street-The Orlando Times
Drop D No Limits Foundation, Palmer Feed Store, A&M Pawn, Al's Food Store & Walmart Presented The 2nd Annual Halloween Horror On Church Street 2017 Celebration!
BY JIMMIE WILLIAMS
ORLANDO - I got one thing to say and that's when God shows up He shows out. Amen! This day started out crazy. My hotdog cook was sick. The bounce house guys didn't make it with the bounce house. It didn't end there. The guy that I had coming to cook hamburgers didn't make it either. I just stopped and put my face in my hands and said, "Father you know what I need before I do. I'm ready to start this event my Father." My Father said to me, “Hold your head up because I'm here." Right then Ms. Antoinette & Tyree Griffin show up with a bounce house, drinks, tables, candy and more food for the event. I just said thank you Lord, now I need just a few volunteers. You will not believe this. At that moment Playground City, a nonprofit organization, showed up and said to me, "Mr. Williams we came to help out." Man I almost started to cry, but you know I can't let them see me do that. We had so much fun. The kids had me crying from laughing so hard, especially during the hotdog eating contest. Some of the kids got sick trying to stuff their faces with as many hotdogs as they could get down to win a Walmart gift card. I can tell you this Halloween will never be the same on Church Street again. Now in the photo you see a kid that's holding two Walmart gift cards. He was the hotdog challenge winner for this year. We had lots of winners, because all day, every 30 minutes Walmart gave away gift cards. The kids also got to visit the animals inside of Palmer Feed Store’s exhibits of live chickens, earthworms, fish bait and more. The food was just awesome. The events we host are always free to the public. Oh and also the kid with two Wal-Mart gift cards happens to be Ms. Princess grandson. Over the last 6 months Ms. Princess has been volunteering at about 80% percent of all events hosted by Drop No Limits Foundation 501(c)(3). We're looking for more individuals who would like to volunteer in their community. The only thing I can tell you is: Don't Meet Me There, Beat Me There! Another Drop D No Limits Foundation Production! Thanks to Al's Food Store, A&M Pawn, Walmart and our host Palmer Feed Store.
