ORLANDO - This year’s event will change the history in the Holden Heights community forever. The event will consist of two baseball games with coaches Rickie Weeks, Gary Hines and Coach Fred with track and field, ACE School Boys and Girls Club dance group, WHPB 98.5 The Wire, T-Mobile, volunteers from UCF Gamma Sigma Sigma, Professional Opportunities Program for Students, Inc. (POPS). Your host this year will be yours truly, President of Drop D No Limits Foundation Mr. Jimmie Drop D. Williams. Performing and singing the national anthem, Mr. Alvin Bell, gospel recording artist Apostle J.L. Cash & Prophetess Dollie, gospel recording artist Ms. Son Jae, Steel Drums Mr. Ed Anderson and R&B Special Formula Band out of Jacksonville, Florida. There will be a presentation by the UCF History Department to be held under a tent that will be about Black history. Also there will be a Holden Heights Neighborhood Association tent with some history on display. There will be face painting, bounce houses, free food for the kids. Kids must be accompanied by parents or guardians. Hey it’s free and open to the public. It doesn't get any better than that, right? Lol! So bring your blankets and chairs for the free concert and be prepared to hear about Black history from the main stage with special guests. This historical event will be held Saturday February 24, 2018 from 11:00am - 3:00pm at Grand Avenue Park 700 W. Grand Street Orlando Florida 32805. Don't Meet Me There, Beat Me There!
