Kappa Alpha Psi To Present Community Health And Wellness Fair
Health care providers invited to participate in this free public event
ORLANDO – The Orlando and Winter Park alumni chapters of Kappa Alpha Psi will present their Community Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, July 15 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Northwest Community Center, located at 3955 W. D. Judge Drive in Orlando. This event will be among several public activities surrounding the fraternity’s 83rd Grand Chapter Meeting, its biannual national convention, which will take place in Orlando from July 18-22 at the Rosen Shingle Creek resort.
The health fair will be free and open to the public, and up to 1,000 attendees are expected. “We want a wide range of health service providers to share important information that can enhance the physical life and lifestyle of everyone who attends,” said Marion Campbell, president of the Orlando chapter. From blood donations to dental screenings to medical referrals, the fair will be an educational and awareness opportunity about health and medical needs that affect disadvantaged citizens particularly. Give-aways will include backpacks for students. “As you can imagine, we look forward to this project, considering that Kappa Alpha Psi is a community service-driven organization,” Campbell emphasized.
Health care providers who would like to participate should contact Marion Campbell at firstname.lastname@example.org or Erick Wicker at email@example.com by Friday, June 30 at 5 p.m. Confirmed participants will receive further details (e.g., specific directions, parking, arrival time, space setup allocation, logistical requirements, etc.) during the following week.
