Kenard Lang Foundation Hosts “Back-To-School Fair”
ORLANDO - The Kenard Lang Foundation held its annual Back-to-School Fair (school supplies) on July 29, 2016, 7:00am, Target Store, Winter Garden Village. Target partnered with the Kenard Lang Foundation in order to assist students/families in preparing for a great start of the school year. Target provided breakfast for the students/families and volunteers. Target employees also volunteered to assist the students with their shopping. One hundred and fourteen (114) students were equipped with school supplies, Pine Hills Elementary (Panther Store), Pine Hills Community Center (Pre-K) and Covenant Charities shopped for school supplies to provide to needy students/families. Target Store provided each student with a Gift Bag of school supplies. The goal was to equip each student with their own “Treasure Chest” of tools to meet classroom success on a daily basis. Special thank you to our volunteers, Ernest and Shirley Bradley, Ivy Fowler, Lorraine Offer, Orlando Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Aleida Martinez (Social Worker-OCPS), Target Store (Management/Staff) and the Kenard Lang Foundation Board Members. The event was a success because Target Store partnered with the KLF to support the mission of improving the lives of others. The event was funded through the generosity of the Professional Athletes Foundation.
