BY JIMMIE WILLIAMS
ORLANDO - My wife and I of the Drop D No Limits Foundation (501)c3 would like to thank our supporters of this year’s 2017 5th Annual Come And Get It Awards. Commissioner Regina I. Hill of District 5, City of Orlando, Walmart, Chef Eddie's, The Orlando Times newspaper, Florida Health, WellCare, StayWell, Ms. April, Palmer Feed Store, Al’s Food Store and A&M Pawn Shop. On Saturday, December 9th, 2017 was a night of excellence and smiles. The theme was Persistence and Consistent, Patience of Perfection and Leading By Example. The awards ceremony was a success due to the recipients that have been giving back to their communities in a big way. Always on the frontline here in the greater Orlando low income communities. These individuals at some point have worked with and/or continue to work with the Drop D No Limits Foundation (501)c3 as we host events throughout Central Florida. Once a year the Drop D No Limits Foundation hosts the Come And Get It Awards (CAGIA) ceremony in which many know about. This is where my wife (VP) and I (President) of Drop D No Limits Foundation (501)c3 recognize these individuals as community activists by association. This year at the Come And Get It Awards (CAGIA) the Foundation recognized Charity Jones of Staywell as the number one Liaison of the Year, Barbara Christian of Total Life Changes the Community Service award, Joshua Parden the Community Service award, Coach Reginald Smith the Community Service award, Reginald Dantzler the Community Music award, The Christianaries the Community Gospel awards, Antoinette & Tyree Griffin the Community Service awards, Joann Furlow of Tupperware the Community Service award, Princess Shantan Wills the Community Service awards, Higher Heightz Band Gospel Group the Community Service award, Ms. Ovachi Bennett as Ambassador of Drop D No Limits Foundation (501)c3 and Eric Cressor the Community Service award. Hosting this year's CAGIA was CEO Sharonda Woodard of Kingdom Gospel Radio and Dream Again Entertainment. Hosting the Red Carpet was Ms. Ovachi Bennett, the Motivational and Guest speaker was Dr. Kevin Sherin, a Professor at FSU College of Medicine, and UCF College of Medicine. Dr. Sherin informed the community of toxic stress in childhood as a key public health priority for Orange County and Orlando. Opening Prayer was given by Minister Sandon Baker, and Greetings came from Kevin T. Collins. I'd like to take this moment to thank all of the volunteers and everyone that helped make this event a success. May God bless you and keep you. Amen! We'll see you next year at the 6th Annual Come And Get It Awards!! Don't Meet Me There, Beat Me There! Another Drop D No Limits Foundation Production!
