Soccer In The Beautiful City Of Orlando! People Are Excited!
BY JIMMIE WILLIAMS
ORLANDO - Oh, Wow! Jackson Street, South Street, Lee Street, Terry Street, Lime Street, and Parramore Avenue was off the chain. Soccer fans were everywhere having a great time tailgating and just having fun. It was amazing! It's like another community. You can see the effect of how the soccer games and the new soccer stadium have transformed this community right before your eyes. "City Soccer" is everywhere. This is a good thing. Whether we want it or not, it's here and it's here to stay. The residents of the community seem to be involved and taking advantage of the opportunities to make money by way of parking cars, parking attendants, valet parking and/or food and beverage sales. Empty parking lots in the Parramore community are not empty on game days. They have been fenced off for secure parking for game attendees that were just tailgating and/or enjoying some great music and good food before the game. Hey, the Orlando City Soccer team kicked butt. We won 2-1. It was an amazing game to watch. I never really watched soccer to be honest about it, but hey I did watch it on tv and I enjoyed it. The game was tight, people were going crazy and smoke was everywhere. Lol! All you could see was purple smoke and fans going wild. I do want to say this to the Orlando Police Department as a resident of the Parramore community since 1969. I'm here to let you know we accept our responsibilities as residents of the Parramore community. We are not a part of the problem but we are part of the solution. We welcome our sisters and brothers of all nationalities to our community to enjoy what the beautiful City of Orlando has to offer. You'll get it on the way home. It was only yesterday some friends and I were talking about this day and now it's here. I say let’s embrace the moment and enjoy the games. Welcome to the Parramore Community soccer fans. Don't Meet Me There, Beat Me There.
