  1. 8TH ANNUAL Ms./Mrs. Corporate America Pageant. You are cordially invited to a night of empowerment and entertainment! The event will feature live entertainment, celebrity judges, vendors, and the opportunity to network with prominent business professionals from across the globe. The Florida Department of Health in Lake County (DOH-Lake) in collaboration with the Central Florida Area Health Education Center (AHEC) to offer the following free Quit Tobacco Classes: Weekly on Mondays, April 6th to May 11th, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at LiveWell Fitness Center (Across from Southlake Hospital) 1935 Don Wickham Drive, Clermont, Florida 34748. There is no charge to enroll in the program which includes the following: No charge for materials; Free Nicotine Replacement (nicotine patch while supplies last); Covers all forms of tobacco; Groups led by trained tobacco cessation specialist; Quit Smoking Now workbook and incentive items. Registration is required by calling 1-877-252-6094 or to learn more about the Quit Smoking Now Program.  The QSN Program is sponsored by the Florida AHEC Network and the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Tobacco Free Florida.

  4. SUPPORT THE UNIVERSITY AND CHEER FOR THE RATTLERS. Florida A&M University students, alumni, parents, faculty and staff are cordially invited to FAMU Day at the Capitol Reception Thursday March 26, 2015 on the 22nd Floor at 6pm. Rattlers are also encouraged to join the Alumni delegation as well on March 26, in visiting their legislators from 10 am to 5 pm. “We encourage all members of our community to come to Tallahassee and meet with legislators from your home districts,” said Carmen Cummings, FAMU Executive Director of Alumni Affairs. “If you are an out-of-state student, you can make an appointment to meet with a legislator from the district in which you now reside.” To locate the name of your hometown legislator just log on to http://RattlerImpact.famu.edu and click on the "Find Your Elected Officials" link on the right. FAMU’s 2015 Legislative Priorities are also listed on Rattler Impact under the “priorities” button at the top. Again the culminating event of the day will be at 6 p.m., when the FAMU National Alumni Association hosts the FAMU Day at the Capitol Reception on the 22nd Floor.   5. Orlando Magic players, coaches and Magic talent. The 25th annual Orlando Magic Youth Foundation Black Tie and Tennies Gala presented by Levy Restaurants, net proceeds benefit the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF). Players, coaches, talent and fans will participate in an evening of games, silent and live auctions, dinner and awards.
