SCPS Selects Serita Beamon, Esq. As New Superintendent

First Black Female Superintendent in Seminole County History

SANFORD - On Monday, March 1, 2021, the School Board of Seminole County, Inc. voted to select Serita Beamon, Esq. as the new Superintendent for Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS). Mrs. Beamon has more than 16-years of experience with SCPS, serving as the School Board Attorney/Executive Director of Legal Services. She officially becomes the 11th Superintendent for the district. Pending contract negotiations, Mrs. Beamon will begin sometime in April of 2021.
